Obituary for Clyde K. Fisk
Middlesex, NJ – Clyde K. Fisk, 98, passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerville on Friday, March 31, 2017. He was born in Providence, RI, and lived there until his marriage to Priscilla Alden Marshall on May 9, 1942, who passed in 2008. They lived in Cambridge, MA, Connecticut, Toms River, NJ and settled to Middlesex, NJ in 1953.
Clyde grew up in Barrington, Rhode Island and graduated from Brown University in 1940. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy. He served proudly in Hawaii during WWII with the Corp of Engineers. He was a Naval Reserve Civil Engineer in New London, CT and at the Naval Air Station in Lakehurst, NJ.
Clyde enjoyed being a Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor in Middlesex and Livingston, as well as being a Municipal Engineer for several municipalities. As a Professional Engineer, Clyde served as NJ Chapter and NJ State Society president and co-owned Fisk Associates in Middlesex from 1978-2009.
Predeceased by his wife Priscilla and son Paul, Clyde is survived by his sons; David and his wife Billie of Carlsbad, CA, Stephen and his wife Linda of Bridgewater, NJ, Robert and his wife Marilyn of Seabrook Island, SC, Gary and his Pamela of Niles, MI; daughter-in-law Barbara of Middlesex, NJ, as well as eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
At the request of the family, a private memorial gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Bound Brook Congregational Church, 209 Church Street, Bound Brook, NJ 08805.
