Obituary for Dolores S. Burshnick
Middlesex, NJ – Dolores S. (Righetti) Burshnick passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville on Tuesday, May 8, 2018. Born in Plainfield, Dolores grew up in North Plainfield and has been a resident of Middlesex for fifty-four years.
Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for them as a homemaker. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex, a life member of the Middlesex Elks #1488, and a member of the Middlesex Seniors. She was also an avid dancer who loved live music.
Predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1999 and by her sister Angela (Righetti) Ballas, Dolores leaves behind her loving children Denise Porozok and her husband William of Piscataway; and Paul Strasko of Palmer, PA. She also leaves behind her brother Frank Righetti and his wife Jo Ann of North Plainfield; grandchildren Michael Porozok of Middlesex, Jessica Cann and her husband Matthew of Piscataway, and Paige Strasko of Palmer, PA; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Cann of Piscataway; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 3 to 7 pm and on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 beginning at 8:15 am.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 beginning at 8:45 am followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church. Mausoleum entombment will follow at The Twelve Apostles Mausoleum within Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Special Children’s Committee, c/o Middlesex Elks, 545 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 would be appreciated.
