Dominick J. Scarpati South Plainfield - Dominick J. Scarpati, 64, died on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 in the Haven Hospice at Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield. Born in Brooklyn, Mr. Scarpati was raised in North Plainfield and has been a resident of South Plainfield since 1975. He was the owner and operator of RJJ Contractors Inc. In South Plainfield for the past 20 years. A sports enthusiast, Dominick was a Yankees and NJ Devils fan and was a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. An avid traveler, Mr. Scarpati loved traveling to the Caribbean mainly Aruba as well taking trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. He also enjoyed playing golf. In addition, Dom loved spending time with his granddaughter, family, and friends. Surviving are his wife Frieda (Perone) of South Plainfield, his daughter Angela Flanagan and her husband Patrick of Sayreville, 2 sisters; Marie McKee of Barnaget and Bernadine Cucciniello and her husband Kenneth of Middlesex and his loving granddaughter Isabella Flanagan of Sayreville. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 9:15AM in the McCriskin Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield followed by a 10:00AM funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9PM in the funeral home.
