Obituary of Hugo Alfred Waynor
The Villages, FL – Hugo Alfred Waynor, 93, passed away peacefully in his home in Florida surrounded by family on October 24, 2022. Born in Woodbridge, NJ to the late Oscar and Mary (Singer) Waynor, Hugo lived in Edison and East Brunswick before settling to The Villages in 1999.
Hugo served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Europe during the Korean War Era. He worked as a chemist in Brooklyn, but his true passion in life was music, playing the piano and spending time out on the golf course as an avid golfer. Hugo enjoyed traveling and one of his most memorable trips was his dream trip, “around the world in five days.” He started in Orlando, FL, travelling to South Africa, Australia and Los Angeles and eventually back home to Orlando. In Hugo’s younger years, he was active as an Eagle Scout.
Predeceased by his wife Rita in 1991 and by his siblings; Martin, Karl, and Irene, Hugo leaves behind his children; Dr. William Waynor and his wife Carolyn of Burlington, NJ, Nancy Faw of Michigan, Richard Waynor of FL and Eric Waynor and his wife Patricia of Monroe, NJ. He will be missed dearly by his grandchildren; Zachary, Dylan, and Ian Waynor and Christie and David Faw, his great-granddaughter and his sister Margaret Waynor of The Villages, FL.

Hugo’s services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 beginning 10:00am at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846. A concluding prayer service will begin at 11:30am followed by burial and military honors at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
