Obituary of Angelo Contursi
Middlesex, NJ – Angelo Contursi, 80, passed away on November 21, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center. Born in Plainfield to the late Gennaro and Carmella (Caruso) Contursi, Angelo settled in Middlesex in 1975.
A proud honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy, Angelo faithfully served from 1962 until 1966. He worked as a Carpenter Foreman with Muhlenberg Regional Medical Center in Plainfield prior to the hospital closing down.
He loved golfing, fishing and camping and as a music lover, he could always be found playing the guitar or banjo. He also was a member of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex.
Predeceased by his wife Minnie Ann in 2010 and by three siblings; Philomena, Pat and Mary, Angelo leaves behind his loving children; Albert Contursi and his companion Cristina Reino of Middlesex and Angela Farmer and her husband Larry of Berlin. He will be deeply missed by his grandson Rylan as well as numerous extended family and friends.
A celebration of Angelo’s life will be held Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 beginning 11:00am. Concluding prayers and military honors will be held at 1:30pm.
Entombment will take place with his wife at Resurrection Burial Park Chapel in Piscataway on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Angelo’s name may be sent to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org.)
