Obituary of Dorothy E Schlereth

Piscataway – Dorothy E. Schlereth, 86, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset, Somerville.

Born and raised in Spangler, PA, Dorothy was one of twelve children born to the late Henry and Marva Walker.  She and her husband relocated to Berkley Heights then settled to Piscataway over thirty five years ago.

Dorothy enjoyed Bingo as well as taking trips to Atlantic City casinos.

Predeceased by her husband, Eugene who died in January of 2015; surviving are her two daughters, Robin Cotto and husband Daniel and Mary Ann Pruden and husband Bill; six grandchildren, Ricky Bourdouvales, Michael Nieves, Joann Nieves, Rebecca Pruden, Marcie Ortiz and Megan Dolce as well as five great grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to gather in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road Piscataway NJ 08854 from 10AM – 11AM on Monday, December 12, 2022. 

Burial will be held at a 11:30AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ; family and friends who wish to caravan to the cemetery may gather in the funreal home parking lot at 10AM on Wednesday morning.
