Middlesex, NJ – Louise Katherine Moran, 83, passed away after a brief illness on December 11, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville.  Born in Irvington to the late George and Katherine (Gauthier) Hunkele, Louise settled in Middlesex in the early 60’s.

 

Louise worked in the clerical field at Nabisco, formerly in Dunellen.  Active within her community, Louise could often be found with the Middlesex Senior Citizens or among those of the Middlesex American Legion Auxiliary or the Middlesex Elks. 

 

She had a love for bingo, music, arts and crats, gardening and crocheting.

 

Predeceased by her husband Joseph in the 1980’s, youngest daughter Angela M. Hills and siblings; Artie, George and Georgeanne, Louise leaves behind two daughters; JoAnne K. Sokolowski and her husband Mark of Nazareth, PA and Maria L. Meredith and her fiancé Russ Becker of Middlesex.  She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jacqueline K. Schadas and fiancé Tyler Burdette and Richard Holland and grandson, as well as her sister Evelyn Leszega of Flemington.  She will be missed by her beloved fur babies; Buddy and Beary.

 

Visitation will take place at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 10am until 12pm.  Burial will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery in Bound Brook.
