Obituary of John D Langolf

Piscataway, NJ – John D. Langolf, 70, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital – Somerset.

Born to the late John and Antoinette Langolf, John grew up in Highland Park, NJ, before settling in Piscataway with his wife, Janet.

Working for several different companies, John enjoyed his time at Rutgers University and Continental Insurance. However, it was at Layla Transportation where John found a home as a bus aide, making many friends over the 15+ years as part of the Layla family.

Outside of work, John enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He was an avid NY Giants fan, but Rutgers held his loyalty, cheering on their Football, Basketball, and Men’s and Women’s Volleyball teams. He enjoyed attending games as often as possible.

Predeceased by his wife Janet, John is survived by his brother, Edward Langolf, and his wife Patricia; his sister, Carolyn Evans, and her husband Jim; nieces and nephews, Eddie, Katie, Nikki, Jimmy, and Matt; and a host of extended relatives and friends.

A memorial gathering will be held at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ, on January 12, 2023, from 4 pm – 8 pm.
