Obituary of Gloria R. Daniel
Gloria Daniel, 86, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at home in Middlesex.
Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Daniel grew up in Roselle, was a longtime resident of Linden and lived in Middletown for nearly 10 years before relocating to Middlesex three years ago.
Gloria worked several different jobs over the course of her working career but most notably was her position as the Accident Records Clerk for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.
She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family in particular her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband Dominick who passed in 1997 and daughter, Donna Daniel who passed in 2014, Gloria is survived by her daughter, Gloria Alba and her husband Charles of Middlesex; sisters, Ethel Brady and her husband Jim of Toms River, Rita Dewar and her husband Richie of NY and Debbie Davis and her husband Eugene of VA; brother, John Riker and his wife Joanne of Barneget and grandchildren; Nicholas and Damon. The Daniel family would also like to express their profound gratitude to Gloria’s caretakers, Debbie, Cecelia, Veronica and Wendy as well as her two hospice nurses, Brenda and Alaina who provided nothing but exceptional care for Gloria.
The Daniel family will be receiving relatives and friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 4-8pm in the Middlesex Funeral Home 528 Bound Brook Rd. Middlesex, NJ 08846.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 beginning at 11am in the funeral home.
Gloria will be laid to rest alongside her husband Dominick immediately following the funeral service at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.
