Obituary of Joyce Elaine Trapani
South Plainfield, NJ – Joyce Elaine Trapani, 75, passed away at her home with her loving husband at her side. Born and raised in Providence, RI to the late Samuel and Ella (Spicolla) D’Ambra, Joyce met her husband in 1983, all by Joseph putting a classified in the edition of Sheila Wood. They married in 1985, and in 1988, Joyce and her husband Joseph settled in South Plainfield and resided there until her death.
She retired in 2015 from Millennium Hotels where she was a manager. Joyce had such a love for Disney, she had a tattoo of Mickey and Minnie on her shoulder. She enjoyed old movies, crocheting and word puzzle but her passion in life was to be with her husband Joseph every minute she could.
Joyce had a huge heart and loving soul. She enjoyed music, was a huge fan of country western music, loved Garth Brooks and Elvis and her favorite song by Mac Davis, “Your My Bestest Friend.” Joseph used to call her “Cuddles” and before moving to NJ, she loved her dog Tre Bene.
Joyce leaves behind her loving husband Joseph as well as many cousins, and dear friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 beginning 3:00pm with a concluding prayer service held at 5:30pm.
