Obituary of Gerard LaPietra
Jerry R LaPietra, 80 passed away peacefully after a life well lived on May 29, 2023.
Born and raised in Bronx, NY. Jerry was a lifelong resident of Bergenfield, NJ where he raised his family.
Jerry had a career in maintenance, serving as a VP in two companies, Americorp and Colin Cares. He also owned his own maintenance company prior to retirement. Jerry had an infectious smile and loved to make people laugh. His greatest love and pride were his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy (nee Aversa). Three children, Gina LaPietra-Craig and her husband Ray of Lexington, SC, Kim LaPietra and her partner, Laura of Colonia, NJ, Jerry LaPietra and his wife Catherine of Oradell, NJ and his four grandchildren, Daniella, Anthony, Shane, Jake, and one great-grandchild on the way.
He is also survived by his sister, Ann Calamari of Mahwah, NJ and Louis LaPietra of Manhattan, NY.
He is predeceased by his parents, Renato, and Lucy LaPietra.
A celebration of life mass is planned for early July at the church of the Ascension in New Milford, NJ.
