

Obituary of Alfred E Mirutkin
Alfred "Al" E. Mirutkin, 96, of Columbus, NJ, passed peacefully on February 10, 2025 with his family by his side. Born in South River, NJ he lived in Piscataway Township most of his life before moving to Columbus, NJ twenty years ago.
Al was proud to have served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran. He was employed and retired from E.I. DuPont in Parlin, NJ as well as the Middlesex County Clerk's Office in New Brunswick, NJ.
He is predeceased by his wife of 51 years who passed away in 2013, Rose (nee Benanti) Mirutkin; parents, Alexander and Marya Mirutkin; brother, Joseph Jarock and sister, Jean Baranowski.
Al is survived by his three daughters, Karen Fulfaro of Columbus, NJ, Sharon Masso (Tony) of Vail, AZ, and Diane Mascioli (Fernando) of Newtown Square, PA.
He was also the beloved "Pop Pop" to his four grandchildren: Nicholas J. Fulfaro, Kaitlyn Fulfaro, Gabriella Mascioli, and Gianna Mascioli.
Al had many interests which included playing poker with family and friends, trying his luck on the slots at the casinos in Atlantic City, bird watching, and cheering on Rutgers Football. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan his entire life and loved to vacation in Ocean City, NJ, and Siesta Key, FL with his family.
But above all, Al enjoyed the time that he spent with his children and grandchildren.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, February 16, 2025 for visitation in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 from 4-7PM.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, on Monday, February 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home prior to mass, beginning at 9:15 AM.
Burial will follow at Resurrection Burial Park.
