Obituary of Michel J. Tomas

Michel J. Tomas, 39, passed away after a long illness in the early hours of May 5, 2025 at Aviate at Piscataway Rehabilitation Center in Piscataway.  Born in Pasig City, Philippines, Michel came to the United States in 1994.  He began his life here in the US in Brooklyn and in 2007, settled to Piscataway. 

An avid car lover, he took his hobby and turned it into his career and passion as an auto mechanic, most recently for Pep Boys located in Bridgewater.   Michel enjoyed computers and loved to cook.

He leaves behind his adored son, Max Jasper, his parents; Maria Georgia and Kelly F. Tomas, and his brother Mark Tomas and his wife Jamie.

Family and friends may gather to Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Sunday, May 11, 2025 from 12pm until 6pm.  On Monday, May 12, 2025, all are invited to join with the family at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway for a 10:30am funeral mass.  At a later date, Michel will be sent back home to the Philippines.
