Obituary of Dale P Dube
Dale P. Dube, 66, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at The Center For Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains surrounded by his loved ones.
Dale was born April 30, 1959 and raised in Somersworth, New Hampshire. His dear Memere Annette and Uncle Raymond helped raise him and his siblings. He eventually relocated to New Jersey and resided in Rahway and Scotch Plains prior to moving to Edison.
Dale built a career starting on the manual side of construction then later earning multiple certifications that lead to his role as an inspector for a private company, the NJSEA, the DCA-NJ and ultimately his position as the Construction Code Official for the Township of Bloomfield. This journey brought some wonderful people and true friends into his life.
Dale, with his daughter working by his side, enjoyed taking on home improvement projects at her home. Dale took great pleasure in cooking and his daily walks in the park with his precious dog, Bella.
An avid golfer who excelled at the sport, Dale could often be found playing several rounds at Plainfield’s West 9 Golf Course. For many years, he participated in the West 9 Tuesday night Golf League and was captain of his team aptly named “Two Buds Two Dubes.” Not many can say they got a hole in one but Dale landed two in the same month on the same hole. Sometimes he took his game on the road to Myrtle Beach where he merged his love of golf and cooking by preparing breakfast for all before hitting the links.
He is predeceased by his parents and older brothers, Michael Dube and Robert “Bob” R. Dube.
Surviving are his wife Ursula M. Deeg-Dube to whom he was married for 22 years; his daughter, Heather Dube; his ex-wife, Jane Dube, and extended family, brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Dube (as he was referred to by most) was a kind man, well respected, loved immensely and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
All services have been privately entrusted to the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date at the West Nine Golf Course.
