Obituary of Faye DeLuise

Faye DeLuise (Fatiri Guri), 86, of Middlesex, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on October 15, 2025.

Born on September 15, 1939, in Manhattan, New York City, Faye was the daughter of Refi and Beje Guri. She spent her early years on the Lower East Side, growing up on the top floor of a six-story walk-up on the corner of Rivington and Orchard Streets—what were affectionately known in those days as “the tenements.”

A graduate of Seward Park High School in New York City, Faye began working part-time at the Associated Press in Rockefeller Center, where, at just 16 years old, she met her future husband, Andrew. Six years later, they were married on September 1, 1962.

Following their marriage, Faye and Andrew moved to Pittsburgh, PA, where they welcomed their daughters, Michele Ann and Donna Marie. In 1966, the family relocated to Woodhaven, NY, where their son Michael was born in 1970. In 1974, they settled in Middlesex, NJ, where Faye created a warm and loving home.

Faye cherished time spent with her family, especially during the holidays. She adored visits with her grandchildren, which brought her endless joy. Later in life, she took great pleasure in reconnecting with family and old friends through what she fondly called “The Facebook.”

Faye is survived by her devoted husband, Andrew; her daughters, Michele and husband Greg, and Donna; her son, Michael and wife Janice; and her loving grandchildren, Samantha and her husband Daxton, Nicole and her husband Cody, Giovanna, and Vincent. She is also survived by her sister, Florence and husband Ricki; her niece, Drita; and nephews, Refi and Ali.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846.
Faye will be laid to rest on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 12:45 p.m. at Bound Brook Cemetery, Bound Brook, NJ.

Faye will be remembered for her warmth, humor, and the love she shared so freely with all who knew her.
