James “Jim” Paul Elliott Jr. passed away on January 3, 2026, following a brief illness.
Jim was born in Elizabeth, NJ, to James and Helen Elliott. He grew up in Roselle, NJ, before starting a family and settling in Piscataway in 1987.
He graduated from Rutgers Cook College in 1980 with a degree in Food Science. After graduation, Jim began a long and accomplished career in the brewing industry, retiring from Anheuser-Busch after 30+ years as a microbiologist.
Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Melissa; his daughters, Rachel and Jamie Elliott; and his grandson, Nile James Bey, his best buddy. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings Shawn and Colleen, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
A devoted fan of the Raiders and Mets, Jim loved Bruce Springsteen, vacations in Wildwood, and golfing with friends. Above all, he was the light of any gathering, bringing joy with his infectious smile, hearty laugh, and unforgettable “Jim-isms.” There was never a lack of laughter when Jim was around.
"See you at the afterparty."
As a dedicated blood donor—and ultimately a recipient—consider honoring Jim’s memory with a donation to the New York Blood Center.
There will be a Memorial Service celebrated at the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Road Piscataway, NJ on Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 12-2pm.
