Angela T. Olechna
South Plainfield - Angela T. (nee Garbarino) Olechna, 94, passed away peacefully on Friday February 26, 2010 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born and raised in Jessup, PA., Angela married the late Clemence Olechna and they resided in Mt. Cobb, Pa and Sterling NJ before settling to South Plainfield in the 1940's.
She had been employed at the Jessup Post Office and later at the former Montgomery Ward Department store in Plainfield, working in catalog sales. More importantly, Angela was a dear wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She took enormous pride and received great joy in gardening and in addition, she could often be seen outside tending to her yard.
Predeceased by her husband, Clemence, who died in July of 1993 and her two brothers, Joseph and Gus, she is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Douglass and her husband, Robert of East Brunswick, a sister, Theresa Grisky of South Plainfield, two granddaughters, Nicole Lyons and her husband, Joseph and Robyn Douglass all of Manalapan and a great granddaughter, Mackenzie.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 9:15 AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by a 10:00 AM funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ.
Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery Mausoleum, South Plainfield.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation hours on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 2-4 PM.
