Obituary of Jean Sylvia Pacifico

South Plainfield - Jean Sylvia Pacifico, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2017 in the Memory Care Living at Green Brook. Born to the late Sylvia and Herbert Morris in Summit, Jean was raised in Union where she was a graduate of Union High School. In the 1950's, Jean settled to South Plainfield where she raised her family. In her younger years, Jean worked for the former Minute Man Restaurant in Middlesex Mall, Corvettes Department Store in Watchung and also worked at the Little Store in South Plainfield. Active with the South Plainfield American Legion Chaumont Post 243 Ladies Axillary, Jean held various positions throughout the years and was a dedicated member. She also was a long member of the group, Crow Bars, a social group of friends. Jean enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City, spending time at the beach and could often be found with her dear friend, Betty Austin. Predeceased by her husband, Carmen Pacifico, who died in 1999; son, Carmen "Skip" who died in 1978 and her best friend, Betty Austin. Surviving are her two sons, James Pacifico and wife Cheryl of South Plainfield and Douglass Pacifico and wife Diane of Martinsville. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren, Anthony, Jay, Nicholas, Paige, Natasha and Alyssa and a host of extended family and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2017 at 11AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 0708 followed by burial in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Family and friends may attend visitation on Friday from 2-4PM & 7-9PM in the funeral home.
