South Plainfield - Mary E. Timko, 88, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at home in South Plainfield A lifetime resident of South Plainfield since 1928, Mary was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church. She was a bookkeeper for Eiber's Patio Shop until she retired in 1990. Past president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Chaumont Post #243 Mary was also a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Alter Society, a member of the Senior Citizens of South Plainfield and the Unico Plainfield Chapter. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Frank Timko; parents, Nunzio and Frances DeFillipo; sisters, Loretta Cerasoli, Dee Defillipo, Lee Toresco and Theresa Fallat and brothers, Louis and Carmen DeFillipo. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Martin and husband William of Piscataway; son, Joseph Timko and partner Randy Neece of Topanga, CA and many loved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 9AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, NJ 07080. A funeral mass will be offered in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield, NJ at 10:00 AM on Saturday celebrated by her husband's cousin, Monsignor Richard Brietske and Reverend John Paul Alvarado. Burial will follow mass in Holy Redeemer Cemetery, South Plainfield. Family and friends may attend the visitation on Friday from 4-7 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the MS Society NJ Chapter, Aspen Corporate Park 1, 1480 U.S. Highway 9 North, Suite 301, Woodbridge, NJ 07095
