Obituary of Carol A. Drummond

Middlesex, NJ Carol A. (Scheck) Drummond, 72, passed away at her home on Friday, January 10, 2014. Born in West Paterson to her late parents John Richard and Kathleen (Fracalossy) Scheck, in 1970 Carol married and settled to Middlesex in 1971.In December of 2012, Carol retired from the Manville Board of Education where she spent many years as a Teacher's Assistant and was proud to be a Union Representative. She loved her animals, especially her dogs and could often be found volunteering her time with the Seeing Eye, Inc. of Morristown. Carol loved gardening, reading, needlepoint and she was a wonderful cook. She also enjoyed cross country trips and traveling, especially to California. Carol is survived by her loving husband Walter, Jr. and by their two cherished children; Walter III and his wife Kristina of Los Gatos, CA and Kathleen Drummond of South Bound Brook. She also leaves behind two adored grandchildren; Walter IV and Zoe, her brother John R. Scheck, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Randolph, VT and various nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 beginning 9:30 am at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex.Burial will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery located in Bound Brook.
