Obituary of Frances L. Carr

Frances Carr, 85, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2016 at her son's home in Piscataway. Born the youngest of nine children, to the late Bernard and Florence O'Brien, she grew up in the Greenwich Villiage/ Chelsea Section of Manhattan, NY. Frances married John Carr in 1955 and settled in Farmingdale, Long Island where they raised their family. Frances worked for Long Island Lighting as a customer service representative for over ten years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #5942 Long Island, and was a communicant of St. Killian Church, where she was the secretary of the Widowers Club.
Frances enjoyed movies, gardening, crochet, and quality time with her cherished family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Carr in 1986 and her dear daughter Janet Jenkins in 1989), as well as by her eight siblings.
Surviving are her loving son Edward Carr and wife Teresa, her cherished grandchildren, Christopher, John, and Keenan, and many extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 6:00 to 9:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Saturday, October 1st at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Piscataway.
Interment will take place at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long Island on Monday, October 3rd.
