Obituary of Alkiviadis F. Lekkas

Middlesex, NJ - Alkiviadis F. Lekkas, aka Samson, 67, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Somerset Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bridgewater. Born in Andros, Greece to his late parents Francescos and Francesca Lekkas, Alkiviadis moved to the United States at the age of seventeen and has lived in Middlesex since 1989. Alkiviadis was a chef which was his passion for many years. In 1985 he opened his own company, Lekkas Produce which he owned and operated for 30 years. Alkiviadis loved spending time at the Sunset Diner with his Greek friends. He enjoyed playing cards, listening to Greek music and loved spending time with his family; especially his four grandchildren. Alkiviadis is survived by his wife Rose Lekkas and their two daughters; Melissa Wleklik and her husband Mark and Francesca and her husband Eric Weber all of Middlesex. He also leaves behind his four grandchildren; Tyler, Mathew, Ava and Audrey and two sisters and brother-in-law Ouronia and John Maltabes and Erini and George Parliarous and their families all residing in Greece, and two sisters-in-law, Gene Eggemann and Marilyn Garcia and their families. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 4-8pm with a 7:30 pm religious service.
