Obituary of Frank N Livera

Frank N. Livera, 97 years young, passed away peacefully at his home in Piscataway on August 22, 2017 surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Newark to the late Orazio and Filippina Livera, he was a former resident of Montclair and Fairfield before settling in Piscataway Mr. Livera proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Sargent during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1944. He went on to work for Allstate Insurance Company where he dedicated fifty years and retired as a Senior Agent. Frank was a member of the American Legion and Italian American Club in Newark where he was past vice president. He was a devout Catholic and was a former communicant of Our Lady ofMr. Carmel and St. Thomas R.C. Church, before coming to St. Frances Cabrini R.C. Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Frank was a devoted husband, father, and pa pa who instilled in his family the value of their faith and dedication to family first which will be passed on for generations. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marie Livera, and his dear siblings, Carmella, Paul, and Tom. Surviving are his loving children, Carmella Livera and partner Kathy Farrell, and Harold Livera, his three cherished grandsons, Frank, Joe, and Andrew, and his many nieces and nephews who adored him. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. Funeral services will begin on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 9:00AM at the funeral home. A 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Frances Cabrini R.C. Church, Piscataway.
