Obituary of Gerard James Davis

Middlesex, NJ - Gerard J. Davis, 62, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Orange, he was a lifelong resident of Fords until moving to Ewing in 2007. He worked on the assembly line at Raritan Valley Sheltered Workshop in New Brunswick. He had a passion for the NY Mets and loved country music as well as word find puzzles. Predeceased by his father Edwin Davis and sister Evelyn Parise, he leaves behind his loving mother, Evelyn Davis of Bridgewater, sister Margaret Chirdon and husband Ermin of Middlesex, caregiver and dear friend Bertha Robinson of Ewing, brother-in-law Sergio Parise of Vancouver and four nieces and nephews; Joseph and wife Lynn Parise, Danielle Parise, Justin and wife Kayla Chirdon and Douglas Chirdon. Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 4-8pm and on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 8:15 am until 8:45 am. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, February 24, 2017 beginning 8:45 am followed by a 9:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex. Gerard will be laid to rest in the family plot of St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.
