Obituary of Edward Alan Trimpert
Please share a memory of Edward to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Edward Alan Trimpert, Sr., 55, of Hillsborough passed away on June 9, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center, Somerville.
Born in Bethel, CT to the late Albert Jr. and Joan Trimpert, Ed grew up in Piscataway, graduating from Piscataway High School in 1980. Ed remained in Piscataway where he and Theresa fell in love and eventually married in April of 1991. After their marriage Ed and Theresa moved to Edison, NJ to start a family, where both of their children, Nikki and Eddie, were born. In the summer of 2000, Ed and his family moved to Hillsborough, NJ where he remained until his death.
Ed spent over 25 years working as a Plastics engineer, spending most of his career with the former Egan John Brown Plastics, now Davis Standard. He was an expert plastic machine manufacturer and used his skill set to progress and grow the company. Ed worked hard and diligently his entire life to provide all the luxuries and necessities for his wife and kids.
Everyone that knew Ed knew he was an avid lover of sports, especially his love for the Yankees and the Cowboys. His love for sports was innate within his children, and they were raised with the love of the game. Ed coached Nikki's softball teams as well as Eddie's football and baseball teams for the majority of their sports careers. When he wasn't coaching, he would travel for hours just to be there to support and cheer them on. Ed also loved the game of golf. If Phil Mickelson was competing, Ed was cheering him on. But when sports weren't involved, he loved spending time cooking, grilling, and hanging out on the weekends with Theresa, Nikki, Eddie, and his three dogs, Bear, Blitz, and Dakota.
Surviving are his beloved wife Theresa Gaudio Trimpert, his loving children Nikki and Eddie Jr., who will miss him deeply, his siblings Albert Trimpert III, Brenda Fulton and husband Dave, Carol Garnecki and husband Ben, Donna Trimpert, Fran Trimpert and wife Erika, and Glenn Trimpert, sister-in-laws Lynn Gaudio, and Joanne Ozeransky and husband John, and mother-in-law Marianne Gaudio. He will also be missed by all of his nieces and nephews: Mike, Stephanie, and Jimmy Fulton, Chris and Jen Garnecki, Heather and Amanda Scofi, Haley and Elana Trimpert, Jordan and Skylar Trimpert, Jes Scherlacher, and Tara and Jack Ozeransky. Ed is pre-deceased by nephew Eric Scherlacher.
Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway. Funeral services will be held with a prayer at 7:00PM at the funeral home.
