Obituary of Howard Hughes

Howard Hughes, 73, passed away March 8, 2015 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he settled in Piscataway in 1970.Mr. Hughes proudly served an enlistment in the United States Army. He was a Budget Analyst for the U.S. Customs out of Newark. Howard was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church, an avid N.Y. Mets Fan; he enjoyed golfing and most importantly spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Howard was predeceased by his granddaughter Amanda Katherine Hughes. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mrs. Gloria Hughes of Piscataway; his sons, Christopher Hughes and his wife Frances of Ringoes and Michael Hughes and his wife Christina of Hillsborough; his granddaughters, Morgan, Alexandra, Alyssa, Alexa and Brooklyn and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will begin Wednesday 9:30 am from the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854 followed by a 10:30 funeral liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. Interment will be in the Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Visitation hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
