Middlesex, NJ Jeannette Louise Reed Daciuk, 92, passed away peacefully at the Runnells Specialized Hospital in Berkeley Heights on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Born in Oak Tree, Edison to her late parents William H. Reed, Sr. and Theresa (Autenburger) she was a resident of Middlesex for over fifty years.Jeannette was honorably discharged from the United States Navy, stationed in Washington, DC after faithfully serving her country during World War II. After her discharge, she worked at Bound Brook Oilless Bearing where she met and married her husband Paul Daciuk.They lived in Middlesex and raised their four children; Carol, Robert, Thomas and Judith. After many years as a dedicated wife and mother, she returned to work in the Admitting office of Muhlenberg Hospital and retired from UMDNJ as a bookkeeper. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son Robert who died September 13, 1959, her husband Paul on February 16, 1984 and by her sister Florence Kirchoffer and brother William H. Reed, Jr.Jeannette is survived by her daughters; Carol Spratford of Martinsville and Judith Thomas (Christopher) of Milford, NJ; her son Thomas Daciuk (Janice) of Port Orange, FL along with two granddaughters; Jill Funk (Russ) of Pinehurst, NC and Kyla Daciuk also of Port Orange, FL.Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. At the request of the family, funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
