Obituary of Dominick Caponigro

Dominick Caponigro, 88, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017 in the Care One at Wall in Wall Twp. Born and raised in Queens, NY, Mr. Caponigro lived in Edison prior to settling to Piscataway during the 1980's. He was employed by the Daily News in New York and retired in 1991 after 35 years of employment. Dominick served our country during WWII with the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1948. Predeceased by his wife Joan, Mr. Caponigro is also predeceased by a daughter Dolly and two sisters, Carmella and Geraldine. He is survived by his children, Marilyn Dahrouge (Phil) of Wall, Katie Goebel (Ralph) of Flemington and Dan Mackey (Chip) of Somerset; sisters, Theresa, Helen and Rose; grandchildren, Nicholas, Jenna, Erika and Donald (Christina) and great grandchildren, Dominic, Alexis and Taylor. Visitation and funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 beginning at 9:30AM in the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway.
