Obituary of Josefa Ocasio

Josefa Ocasio, 69, of Piscataway, died peacefully at home on December 17, 2018.
Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she was a former resident of Bronx, New York, before settling to Piscataway in 1984 where she raised her family.
Josefa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a consummate care giver who watched ten children over the years whom she adored and felt blessed to help raise; Dominick, Dylan, BJ, Zhiraya, Tamaya, Lynn, and Vivian.
She enjoyed playing dominos and loved to sing and dance. Most of all, she enjoyed the quality time spent with her cherished family.
Surviving are her beloved husband Agustin Ocasio, her dear children, Elizabeth Alderman and husband Travis, Jennifer Gonzales and husband Anthony, and Agustin Ocasio and wife Michelle, her cherished grandchildren Tyler, Jaden, Christian, Alexa, Arianna, and Kaleesi, as well as her extended family and friends.
Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM on Friday, December 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Family and friends are welcome to gather beginning at 9:00AM.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway.
Memorial contributions may be made in Josefa's memory to the Alzheimer's Association Greater New Jersey Chapter 23 Vreeland Rd Suite 105, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
