Obituary of Gregory Peter Corcoran

Piscataway, NJ - Gregory Peter Corcoran, 89, passed away on December 31, 2018 at St. Peters University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born on Staten Island to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Brereton) Corcoran, Gregory lived in Orange for two years prior to settling to Piscataway in 1961. An Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Army, Gregory served as Corporal during the Korean War. A graduate of Fordham University, he worked for forty-five years at Mobil Oil as an International Crude Oil Supply Analyst. He could often be found volunteering his time with the American Cancer Society and local hospitals transporting patients to appointments. A member of St. Frances Cabrini Church, Gregory was active as an usher and with the altar rosary society. A former commander of the Somerset Chapter of the United States Power Squadron Boating Association, he also liked golfing, painting, reading and liked to follow current politics. Predeceased by his wife Patricia, Gregory leaves behind his loving children; Kevin of Pennsylvania, Robert and his wife Karen of Massachusetts and Mary Corcoran and her fiancé Walter Stewart of North Carolina and his dear grandchildren; Timothy, Meghan and Ryan Corcoran and Jessica and Christopher Combates. Visitation will take place in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, everyone is invited to join directly at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway for a 10:00 am funeral mass.
