Obituary of Ricardo R. Fontanilla
Ricardo R. Fontanilla, 83, died on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the PowerBack Rehabilitation in Piscataway.
Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Ricardo immigrated to the United States in 1969. He lived in Irvington and South Plainfield before settling in Piscataway.
An avid NY Yankees fan, Ricardo enjoyed fishing and hunting and was also considered to be a modern day “McGuyver.”
Predeceased by his siblings, Evelyn, Caesar and Edwardo, surviving are his wife of 54 years, Loreta; son, Carlo and his wife Lana all from Piscataway; sisters, Betty Fontanilla and Irene Aquitania; brother, Victor Fontanilla and grandchildren, Brianna and Adrianna and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are several extended loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 5-9pm in the Piscataway Funeral Home 18 Stelton Rd. Piscataway, NJ 08854
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019 beginning at 8:45am in the Funeral Home followed by a 10am Funeral Mass at St. Frances Cabrini RC Church, Piscataway, NJ.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway, NJ.
