Obituary of Edward C. Devaney
Hampton, NJ – Edward C. Devaney, 82, joined his wife in heaven on October 22, 2019 at Morristown Memorial Hospital. Born in Jersey City, Edward lived in Middlesex and settled to Hampton in Hunterdon County.
He worked as an Iron Worker throughout his life, holding several positions within numerous locations. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed wood working, was a big fan of the NY Giants and Rutgers Football but his favorite time spent, was with his family. Devoted to his faith, Edward was a member of Faith Fellowship Ministries (now known as EPIC Church International) of Sayreville.
Predeceased by his wife Rita in 2017, Edward leaves behind his son Douglas of Hampton and daughter Sara Eugenia Devaney and her son Tucker of Lake Hopatcong. He is also survived by his brother Bob and his wife Marlene of South Jersey, sister-in-law Ellen Fleming of Middlesex as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held in Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm and on Monday, November 4, 2019 beginning 9:00 am. A religious service will begin in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Bound Brook Cemetery in Bound Brook.
