Green Brook, NJ – Michele Gail (Kohn) dos Santos, 71, passed away after a brief illness on November 7, 2019 at Somerset Woods Care Center in Somerset. Born in Newark, NJ to Jack Kohn and the late Clarice Halpern, Michele lived in East Orange, Nutley and West Caldwell.
She was employed as an International Human Resource Representative for Exxon Corporation of Florham Park for eleven years. After her retirement from Exxon, she furthered her career by working for PriceWaterHouseCoopers in Florham Park and Weichert Relocation Services in Morris Plains as a Senior Immigration Assistant. To keep herself busy, later in life she worked part-time as a receptionist for Bridgewater Nissan.
When not working, Michele enjoyed sports. Her husband Chico, a former boxer, inspired her to become a lover of boxing. She also liked soccer and football.
Michele lost her mother several years ago and in 2015, Chico passed away and left Michele’s heart broken. Michele will be missed dearly by her father Jack Kohn of West Palm Beach, FL, sister Arlene Applebaum and her husband Alan of Davenport, FL and Jan Applebaum her niece of Cape Coral, FL.
It was Michele’s wish, as it was Chico’s, to be cremated privately. If you would like to leave a note of condolence, please do so on the funeral home’s website.
