Obituary of Wolker O. Rodriguez
Middlesex, NJ – Wolker Oiden Rodriguez, 58, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Guatemala City, Wolker moved to Los Angeles, CA prior to settling to New Jersey and has been a resident of Middlesex since 1997.
Wolker worked throughout his life as a truck driver. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local No. 125 and belonged to Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church. A diehard Yankees fan, Wolker also enjoyed nothing more than keeping his home in tip-top shape and spending quality time unwinding with his family. Like a true kid at heart, he enjoyed Disney movies or any feel-good movies with is family.
Wolker will always be remembered as a kind, loving and sweet man who always lived life paying it forward.
Predeceased by his mother Idalia Rodriguez-Velasquez, he will be missed by his loving wife; Ligia of Middlesex, daughter Melissa of Edison, daughter Ashley Rodriguez and son Isaac Rodriguez also of Middlesex, son-in-law Joey Del Genio of Edison and his brother and father in Guatemala; Ricky Giovanni and Augusto Rodriguez.
All services handled through Middlesex Funeral Home have been made private. Once restrictions are lifted, a public memorial service honoring Wolker’s life will be held. At this time, please refrain from sending flowers to the family until the public service in the near future.
