Obituary of Brian Scott Check

Brian Scott Check, 41, died suddenly at his home in Fort Myers Florida on July 26, 2020.

Born in Point Pleasant, Brian grew up and spent most of his life in the Fort Myers area. He worked in real-estate and renovation, known to many as flipping houses. He had a gift for it and liked teaching others about the business. Living in the sunshine state, he enjoyed all the amenities that went along with it, especially fishing and spending time on the sandy beaches.

Predeceased by his father, Matthew “Scott” Check, Brian is survived by his mother, Linda Johns and her longtime companion Joseph Poletti, his daughter, Desiree Check and fiancé, Nathaniel and his son Connor Check.  He also leaves behind his sister, Kelly Check of Ohio; brother Justin Check of Florida and his grandchildren Kayden and Wyatt.

Family and friends may gather to McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from 9:30 am until the 11:00 am catholic prayer service.  Burial will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Brian’s children and grandchildren would be greatly appreciated.
