Obituary of Susan M. Carroccia
Susan (Viotto) Carroccia, 84, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2020 at her home in South Plainfield. A lifelong South Plainfield resident, Susan deeply touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Her smile lit up the room and her laughter was contagious. She radiated kindness and compassion toward others everywhere she went. Susan was the most beautiful woman, inside and out, and was so greatly loved by her family and many friends.
Susan enjoyed sewing and was an excellent cook. When it came to baking, Susan was known for her delicious desserts. Every present that Susan gifted was extravagantly wrapped and done with lots of love. She was a former member of the Italian American Club in North Plainfield and belonged to the Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield.
She is predeceased by her mother, Minnie Viotto, and her father, John Viotto, as well as her 2 brothers, Alfred Viotto and James Viotto.
Susan is survived by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Joseph G. Carroccia, as well as three loving children, Colleen, Joseph and his wife Diana, and Michelle and her husband Stephen. Surviving are also her three granddaughters, Gina, Nikki, and Marcella, as well as many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends who will sadly miss her.
She will be forever remembered as a very loving wife, mother and nana.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A closing prayer service will be held at 3:45 pm. A private burial will take place at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
