Obituary of Charles Nunzello
Charles “Charlie” Nunzello, 58, returned to his heavenly home on December 15, 2020. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him and ultimately gave him peace. Charles graduated from Middlesex High School in 1980. After graduation, Charles entered the workforce and began his career at Roselle Precision in Berkeley Heights, NJ. He then worked as a service technician for Approved Fire Protection in South Plainfield, NJ for 30 years.
Charles is predeceased in love by his late parents, Daniel and Kathleen Nunzello, and brother-in-law, Ramon Aldarondo. Charles is survived by his sister, Valerie Aldarondo, and nephew, Ramon Aldarondo, of Middlesex, NJ. Charles also leaves behind many other family members and friends in addition to his beloved cat, Shadow.
Charles was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Middlesex, NJ, where his ministry work included serving as a lector. Charles continues to be missed by his fellow parishioners.
Those who knew Charles knew that he was kind and soft-spoken. He always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. Charles was also known for his knowledge and interest in computers. He loved playing Scrabble with his sister and his friends.
Charles loved to read and listen to music. He was an avid Beatles fan and especially enjoyed spending quality time with his family during the holidays. He enjoyed spending many Thanksgivings and Christmases with his cousins Joanne, Frank, Debbie, and Lisa. Charles was famous for his mashed potatoes, spinach dip, and Christmas cookie bars.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Charles had his funeral Mass celebrated in January 2021 at St. John’s Roman Catholic Church in Dunellen, NJ with immediate family present.
The family now invites you to a celebration of Charles' life at the Middlesex Funeral Home in Middlesex from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday December 4th with Deacon Glenn Robitaille of St. John’s officiating. The memorial service will be live-streamed utilizing the youtube link below. Please note, the link will not be available until December 4th at 9:30am.
Charles' inurnment will be private at the request of the family at the Holy Spirit Mausoleum in Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway, NJ.
Donations in Charles' memory can be made to the charity of your choice. In life, he was an avid supporter of Toys for Tots and Doctors Without Borders.
