Obituary of Victor Geronimo Lopez-Lopez
Piscataway, NJ – Victor Geronimo Lopez-Lopez, 76, known to all those he loved by “Chomo,” passed away on April 13, 2021 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. Born in Guatemala City, Guatemala, Victor immigrated to the United States in 2000.
Victor enjoyed his retirement in the states, but while living in Guatemala, he was a self-employed mechanic and owned his own transportation business. He loved to gamble and enjoyed scratch offs, but his favorite time spent was with his loving family.
Victor leaves behind his wife Amalia Reyes de Lopez, daughter Nidia Gatica and her husband Hugo of Piscataway, daughter Sayra Gonzalez of North Plainfield, son Erwin Lopez and his wife Claudia of Piscataway, daughter Claudia Lopez-Reyes and her husband Jose Rodriguez of Piscataway and his grandchildren; Victor, Hugo A., Sergio, Jhonattan, Estuardo, Wilson and Sabrina.
A gathering honoring Victor’s life will be held at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Sunday, April 18, 2021 from 6pm until 8pm and on Monday, April 19, 2021 beginning 9:30 am.
A Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Piscataway with burial to follow at Resurrection Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donation sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) would be greatly appreciated.
