Obituary of Gloria V. Petrone
South Plainfield – Gloria Petrone, 93, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Roy and Lucille Hale, Gloria resided in Roselle Park before settling to South Plainfield in 1959. A long time faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church of South Plainfield, Gloria loved to sing and listen to music. She also dabbled in painting and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was also an avid Bridge player with many of her friends.
Gloria will be remembered for her great sense of humor, infectious smile and as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Predeceased by her husband who died in September 2019 Richard Petrone; surviving are daughters, Linda of Easton, PA, Melodie of Milford, NJ and Lora McLean and her husband William of South Plainfield, grandchildren; Aileen Zuromski and her husband Stephen J., Kellie Russo and her husband Mark, Jamie Coveney and husband Brandon and Maggie McLean and great-grandchildren Blake and Stephen M. Zuromski and Audrina and Nicolette Russo; nieces, Ann Marie Hale Sada, Janet Cardiello, Michelle Kennedy and nephews, Jeffrey and Gregory Dulcie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 9:30am to 10:45am with funeral services beginning at 11am in Wesley United Methodist Church, 1500 Plainfield Ave., in South Plainfield. Burial will follow at Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
