Obituary of Gregory J. Yanick
South Plainfield – Gregory J. Yanick, 62, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 17, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born and raised in Jersey City, Greg and his late wife, Pat, settled to South Plainfield in the early 1980s. A communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church, Greg was a passionate audiophile who enjoyed listening to music. Being artistic in his own way, Greg always created the mold rather than fit into it.
He is predeceased by his wife, Patricia Yanick, who passed in 2016, along with his father John Yanick and sister Yanina Catanzaro. Surviving are his two daughters, Meagan Yanick and Lauren Yanick both of South Plainfield who will greatly miss him. He will also be missed by his mother, Margaret Yanick and siblings, John Yanick and Melanie Devlin, along with his nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 9:30AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield at 10:30AM.
Greg will be laid to rest with Pat in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM in the funeral home.
