Obituary of Bruce Belford
Piscataway – Bruce D. Belford, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Newark, Bruce grew up in Union before setting to Piscataway in 1963, only relocating for a short time in the mid 1990’s then returning in 1998.
Owner and operator of Belford Pool Service, based out of Piscataway, Bruce was a career mechanic, working for UPS for over 28 years. During Bruce’s honorable service with the United States Army during the Korean War, he worked as a mechanic and bulldozer operator. He enjoyed photography and fishing, and he could be found tinkering with vintage model trains and airplanes.
Predeceased by his first wife, Patricia Jane Belford and son, David Belford and two brothers, Bradley and Curtis; surviving are his wife, Karen Belford; three sons, Daniel, Matthew and Paul and brother, Irvin.
He will also be missed by his seven grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 10AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield, NJ 07080 followed by burial in Lake Nelson Memorial Park in Piscataway.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 4-8PM in the funeral home.
