Obituary of Phyllis Tomaro

Piscataway – Phyllis Tomaro, 85, died suddenly Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

Born and raised in Plainfield, Phyllis settled to Piscataway with her husband, Michael where they raised their family. 

A hardworking woman, Phyllis’ greatest achievement was raising her five children.  She was the matriarch of her family and will be forever missed.   Phyllis enjoyed collecting dolls and watching the Home Shopping Network as well as watching the Hallmark channel.  She loved the fall and always looked forward to Halloween and Christmas.

Predeceased by an infant child, Joseph; surviving is her husband of 66 years, Michael and five children, Judy, Michele, Anthony, Michael and Kenneth as well as four grandchildren.

All services are private and under the direction of the Piscataway Funeral Home.
