Obituary of Dr. Audrey Euretta Williams McConney
Dr. Audrey Euretta Williams McConney of Piscataway, NJ formerly of Queens, NY and Duncans, Grassfield, St. Philip, Barbados; daughter of the late Iris Williams and Arnold Mascoll, wife of Arthur McConney, mother of Adrian McConney, mother – ln- law of Tiffany McConney, grandmother of Xavier McConney; sister of Joseph Williams of Plainfield, NJ Ercille Williams of Queens, NY, Randolph Williams of London, England, and the late Anderson and Ralph Williams of Duncans, St. Philip, Barbados.
Audrey graduated from St. Michael’s Girls’ School, Barbados, La Guardia Community College and New York College in Queens, NY (Cum Laude), Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey with a Master’s degree in Finance, and Argosy University (formerly the University of Sarasota) in Florida where she received her doctorate degree in Higher Education: Curriculum & Instruction.
Audrey worked for the Barbados Government, Wallenberg & Wallenberg, AT&T, various branches of AT&T (Western Electric, the 195 Broadway Corp., and Lucent Technologies in NY and NJ), Pfizer, Inc., and various consulting assignments in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean, teaching SAP and Oracle and training new trainers. Audrey also taught Sunday School and sang in choirs in Barbados and the U.S.
She was a devoted member to Saint Francis Episcopal Church in Dunellen, where she was always willing to lend to help arrange special events, especially Caribbean night. Audrey, a true entertainer, also put together an annual 4th of July BBQ in Possumtown Park.
Audrey went out of her way to help family and friends. She was a very warm and caring person helping those in need whenever she could.
Family and friends may gather on Friday, January 28, 2022 in Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road Piscataway NJ 08854 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. Cremation will be held privately.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 in Saint Francis Episcopal Church, 400 New Market Road, Dunellen NJ 08812 beginning at 11 AM.
