Obituary of Keith Zehnder

South Plainfield, NJ – Keith L. Zehnder, 63, passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.

Born in Orange, NJ to Frank and Elaine Zehnder, Keith was a graduate of West Orange High School. He quickly started his career with NJ Transit, as a bus driver where he continued to work until his passing.

Outside of work, he was an avid football fan, fisherman and loved to watch movies.

Survived by his wife, Clara (Acosta) Zehnder, Keith leaves behind his sisters, Lori and her husband Bruce Fay, Donna and her husband Ray Flannery, and Gail Hoadley. He will also be missed by his step-children Alberto and Lizet, and nephew Julio Beltran, along with many beloved nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the South Plainfield Funeral Home, 2456 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, from 5 pm to 8 pm.

Cremation services will be held privately.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Keith’s name.
