Obituary of Ceil Flesher

Middlesex, NJ – Cecelia Flesher, 94, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of April 12, 2023 at her daughters’ residence in Piscataway.  Born in Duryea, PA to the late Anthony and Helen (Ralicke) Pliska, Ceil lived in Bound Brook prior to becoming a resident of Middlesex in 1957.

She worked in member services for IEEE located in Piscataway. Ceil belonged to the Tuesday Quilters and had a love for sewing, reading and cooking.  Her true passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Everyone who met Ceil truly loved her and she will be missed by all those whose lives she had touched.

Predeceased by her husband John in 2016, Cecelia leaves behind her three loving children; Carol Stepien (Robert,) Mark Flesher (Donna,) and Carl Flesher (Patricia) as well as her grandchildren; Laura (Adam,) Lisa, Emily, Jared (Emily,) Sadie and Jacob and her great-grandchildren; Scott Ignatius, Ellana, Lucien, Jordan, Cecelia “CeCe” and Josie

Visitation will be held at Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex, NJ 08846 on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 3pm until 7pm.  A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22, 2023 beginning 11:00am at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Middlesex.  Cecelia will be laid to rest besides her husband at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
