Obituary of Diana Falvo
South Plainfield – Diana (Maruca) Falvo, 74, passed away on suddenly on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
Born in Gizzeria, Italy, Diana immigrated to the United States at the age of 17, and settled in Maplewood, NJ. From there she has lived in Cedar Knolls and Piscataway, before residing in South Plainfield for the last ten years.
A seamstress by trade, she worked for two Bridal Shops in Irvington, NJ, and then later worked as a Designer for the former Food of Our Design in Maplewood.
Diana enjoyed going out to eat, cooking, and watching Family Feud. Above all else, she cherished her time spent with her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her husband of 46 years, John Falvo; surviving are two daughters, Paula Hauser and husband Kenneth of Hillsborough and Jennifer Currao and husband Joseph of South Plainfield; as well as her five beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Robert, Kylie, Gianna and Joseph. She will also be missed by her siblings, Giovanna Bellomo and Vincent Maruca, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 9AM in the McCriskin – Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in Sacred Heart RC Church at 10AM.
Entombment will follow in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union.
Family and friends may gather in the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 PM.
