Obituary of Paul Salerno
Piscataway, NJ – Paul Salerno, 63, passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 3, 2023, in Doylestown, PA.
Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1959, the Salerno family relocated to Piscataway in 1963 where Paul was raised along with his three siblings and remained a longtime resident.
Following his High School graduation, he started working as a Truck driver for a Garbage Disposal Company, and then later as a Dump Truck Driver for Spagna Trucking located in Bound Brook. More recently, he has worked as a Courier for DC Express.
Paul enjoyed time outdoors fishing, and cheering for the New York Mets and New Jersey Devils, as well as spending time at the Bowling Alley. His true pride was his 2003 Ford E-150, with the goal of reaching one million miles. In the 20 years of ownership, he managed to drive 857,000 of those one million.
Predeceased by his parents, Thomas, Sr. and Christine, and sister Carolyn, Paul is survived by his siblings Jane (Ralph Bellafonte ) Conner, and Thomas Salerno, Jr. He will also be missed by his niece Danielle Conner and her daughter Gia who affectionately nicknamed him “Man” and by which he is known by his family.
A memorial service will be held at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ, on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 12 PM to 2 PM.
A graveside service will be held at Resurrection Burial Park, 899 E. Lincoln Avenue, Piscataway, NJ, on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the Salerno Family has asked that donations be made to the American Heart Society in Paul’s name.
