Obituary of Robert G. Hoznor
Middlesex, NJ – Robert G. Hoznor, 70, died suddenly on October 14, 2023 while away on a fishing trip to Upstate NY with his friends. Born in Plainfield to the late William and Eleanor (Manka) Hoznor, Bob has been a lifelong resident of Middlesex.
A forty-plus year employee at Taylor Forge Stainless in Branchburg, he was a dedicated machinist. Bob was a quiet man and a kind-hearted soul who would give you the shirt off his back. He absolutely loved to fish and looked forward to his Saturday morning fishing trips to Spruce Run and counted down the days till his next fishing trip with all his buddies in Upstate NY.
After working the night shift, Bob could be found on Friday or Saturday morning going to garage sales. Above all things, Bob enjoyed being around those he loved. Whether it was with his beloved niece Tracy or his buddies who gathered in his garage on Sunday’s, Bob enjoyed their company.
He enjoyed NASCAR, Rock n Roll music, and would never miss an episode of Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune or Antique Roadshow.
Bob was predeceased by his brother Norman, and leaves behind his loving niece Tracy Redell and a host of close friends whom he considered family.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 beginning 2:00pm at 22 West Tap & Grill, 1601 US Highway 22, Bound Brook, NJ 08805.
