Obituary of Joan H. Babish
South Plainfield, NJ – Joan H. Babish, 89, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November, 16, 2023, at her home in South Plainfield.
Born in Hillside, NJ to the late Joseph and Mary Carlos, Joan has been a longtime resident of South Plainfield.
Through the years, she has worked as a secretary for All Tool Company and AA Company, where she retired from. Outside of work, she enjoyed her social life, always looking to spend time with her friends.
Joan is survived by her husband, George Babish, Jr.; son, George Babish III; brother, John Carlos; cousins, Emily Ullmer and Doris McCoy; and her three nieces, Jenny, Karen, and Margret, along with a host of extended relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held at the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5 PM to 7 PM.
A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church, 149 S Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ, on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 10 AM. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home beginning at 9 AM.
Burial will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the Babish Family has asked that donations be made to the COMPASSUS Living Foundation, in Joan’s name.
