Obituary of Edward W. Mancini
Old Bridge, NJ – Edward W. Mancini, 68, died suddenly on December 4, 2023 while Hunting in East Windsor. Born and raised in South Amboy to Genevieve “Jean” Volk and the late Peter Mancini, Eddie lived in Iselin prior to settling in Old Bridge.
Eddie worked as a certified Lincoln/Mercury Mechanic for twenty-five years and then went on to work for Amtrak, retiring after twenty-three years of employment. Although Eddie did not serve in the armed forces, he was a proud Sons of the American Legion member. He loved to tinker around and fix things, especially growing up and working on boat motors with his grandfather - a local Charter boat captain and hero. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. The wanderer who could not be kept indoors.
Eddie had a huge soul and if you ever crossed paths with him, you immediately had a love for him.
Predeceased by his father Peter and nephew Jay Keegan, Eddie leaves behind his loving wife, Janine Zimardo, his mother Jean Mancini, daughter Kimberly Parisi, son Michael Mancini, sister Fran Keegan and brother Peter “Butch” Mancini. He will be deeply missed by his nieces; Denise Arana and Dana Keegan and a multitude of family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Piscataway Funeral Home, 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm with a concluding prayer service at 6:30pm. On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, family and friends may gather directly to Rosehill Crematory, 792 East Edgar Road (US Route 1,) Linden, NJ 07036 for an 11:00am cremation service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eddie’s name may be sent to any Veteran Organization that means something to you.
